Oral Cancer Screening
Finding cavities and gum disease is important but the most important service we provide is oral cancer screening. It is one thing to save a tooth but it is much more important to save a life. At every checkup appointment we examine every adult patient for changes in their soft tissues such as color, shape, size and surface texture. Fortunately, we don’t find serious concerns often but we want to find them early and then have them treated before they can spread. We also examine the panoramic X-rays for anomalies in the jaw bones as well.
If you have something in your mouth which seems unusual to you, we would welcome the opportunity to examine it and help you to get appropriate care.
